How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Settings (profile icon in the top right), scroll to the bottom, and tap "Delete Account." This permanently removes all your data from our systems.
Which Islamic schools of thought (madhabs) are supported?
Rafiq supports all five major madhabs: Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali, and Ja'fari. Your madhab selection affects zakat calculations, nisab standards, and whether khums applies.
How is zakat calculated?
Rafiq calculates zakat at 2.5% of your net zakatable assets that have been held above the nisab threshold for one lunar year. Asset categories vary by madhab. For Ja'fari users, cash and investments fall under khums instead.
How does halal stock screening work?
Rafiq screens stocks using AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) criteria: debt ratio, interest income, and cash/receivables thresholds. Stocks in the Dow Jones Islamic Market index are pre-screened. Other stocks are screened on-demand using financial data.
Is my bank data safe when I link accounts?
Yes. Bank linking is powered by Plaid, a trusted financial technology provider used by thousands of apps. Your bank credentials are never stored by Rafiq. Plaid access tokens are kept exclusively on our secure server and are never present on your device.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Rafiq Premium, and tap "Cancel Subscription." You'll continue to have Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
How do donations through Rafiq work?
Donations are processed by Every.org, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. When you donate, you're securely redirected to Every.org's payment page. Rafiq charges 0% platform fee. Tax receipts are provided by Every.org.
